“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and the fake bench

I’m always looking for an old or new movie filmed in New York. So, last week I was on the gossip website justjared.com and read about this movie: “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”.

Ben Stiller is Walter Mitty, A Life magazine worker who sometimes lives inside fantasy and is in love with his co-worker. His life changes when, in the end, he decides to start living his life and takes a global journey to find a missing picture, which is needed for the magazine’s final issue.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was presented on October 25th,m 2013 at New York Film Festival, but it’s not yet in theater so you will have to wait for a real “How-much-NY-is-there review”.

In the meantime I can tell you that I’va had a shock watching the trailer:

Why? Well, for those of you who know me, during last summer I’ve lived in Morningside, on 125th Street. (Look at some photos on Facebook)

So, these are some scenes from the trailer (and the orange line indicates the window of which used to be my living room)

For your information: the bench in this photo, well it’s not really there: they probably put one temporary just for the scene.

And this is a photo I took on August 02nd:

I’m always proud of my self when I can recognize a street of New York watching a movie… but let me say: looking at a very part of my personal New York… well, it’s a terrific experience!!!
